CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program emphasizing “constant variation, high-intensity, functional movements.” It was developed to enhance a trainee’s competency at each of the following fitness domains:
- Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance
CrossFit methodology builds upon nutrition, metabolic conditioning (running, rowing, sprinting at various distances), gymnastics (body weight exercises including pull-ups, dips, push-ups, handstands), and weightlifting (deadlifts, squats, presses, snatch, clean, and jerks).
“Train Like an Athlete, Look Like an Athlete.” The CrossFit philosophy is centered on training movements, introducing progressions, educating the client, and an overall athletic approach to fitness.
We differ from health clubs by creating and providing stimulating workout programs, ranging from private to group instruction. We strive to create a motivating environment that combines active and engaging coaching – and a strong sense of camaraderie amongst members. You will be encouraged to track your progress by time, weight, or reps, depending on the workout.
